Swing Stand

The swing stand was reasonably priced, [...]. We placed the swing stand in our yard and it is very substantial and well-constructed. We even elevated it by placing three 2-inch ground-contact boards under the supporting legs, raising its height by several inches. The stand is sturdy and somewat heavy, but I put it together by myself, supporting it with a ladder, and it went together with only medium effort. We hung a two-person swing and it works perfectly, without a wobble or feeling of unsteadiness, as the legs are wide enough apart, and the construction is very tight and sturdy, just what we needed.We had looked at other smaller swing stands, but this one was hefty enough to do the job.We painted it and the swing to match, and preserve the wood, even though it came treated. We will repaint each year, and that's not difficult. A smaller stand might be all right for a porch swing, but for a lawn swing, this stand is substantial enough for a larger swing, and more than one person.We are pleased with the appearance and the quality of the stand.
