Roof pitch is a construction term that relates to the slope (raise vs. run) of a roof. For example a 7:12 pitch roof will raise 7' in height for every 12' along the vertical run. Our sheds have differing roof pitches for both aesthetics and function (snow load). For example, the steeper the pitch of a roof, the stronger the roof is. Also, a steeper roof will also allow snow to slide off more easily than a flatter roof. A steeper pitch roof will also allow for more interior storage by simply adding a loft.
